Cost

There is usually a one off set-up fee for your design of £15 - £25, irrespective of number of colours or stitches ⁽¹⁾.

When larger volumes are expected this fee will generally be waived.

Stitch Design provide a free design and set-up service for schools.

The Design Process

Our in-house design team can take an existing badge or logo and convert it to a format suitable for your chosen production process.

If a new design is required, or a variation of an existing one, the design team will work directly with you to make your vision a reality. One off variations can be quickly produced and are ideal for school or club trips, end of term clothing or special events.

During the design process the design team will test run your design and make any necessary changes to ensure the final badge or logo turns out just the way you imagined it; sending you a sample of your embroidered or screen printed design for approval prior to commencement.

Cost

Larger orders can attract substantial discounts so that for very large orders we can embroider a simple badge or logo from as little as £1.00.

Individual names or initials can be added for an additional charge.

Embroidery

Using our state of the art embroidery machines computerised designs can be embroidered onto most fabrics, faithfully reproducing your badge or logo in full colour.

As well as being visually striking the result is hard-wearing and long-lasting making for extremely professional looking embroidered uniforms.

The method is most suitable for smaller logos but can also be used to produce colourful, large and complex designs when required, for a truly stunning effect. Initials or names can even be added for a fully personalised embroidered uniform.

As well as being the principle option when a really professional appearance is required, an embroidered badge or logo can be best for frequently worn clothing such as school uniform and workwear.

It is suitable for almost any type of clothing, bag or cap and is the only decorative option when you require knitwear and fleeces as part of your embroidered uniform.

Silk Screen Printing

A traditional printing technique where ‘negatives’ of images are produced and put onto fine silk screens; ink is then forced through the gaps to create the screen printed designs. Making our own screens allows us to test and fine tune the designs to achieve the best screen printed results possible.

Specialised inks can be mixed to produce unlimited colours so precise matching of pantone and other colour systems is possible. We can also produce metallic effects and put screen printed designs on to a wide-range of fabrics including waterproofs; while specialised equipment and techniques allow us to produce screen printed umbrellas, bags, caps and other non-standard items.

Ideal for when you need larger designs to make you really stand out from the crowd, screen printing is usually the quickest and cheapest option for bold, monochrome designs but, through skilful use of layering and shading, can also produce complex and intricate effects for more design conscious customers.

Screen printed t-shirts are our best seller and are suitable for schools, clubs and budding fashion designers alike.

Heat Transfer

This quick and easy process uses a hot press to heat seal transfers on to fabric.

We can produce transfers in a wide variety of colours and special effects including holographic, glitter, fluorescent and reflective transfers. Transfers can be applied to most clothing, including padded jackets, waterproof clothing and caps.

Ideal for small quantities of clothing or where individual names or numbers are required to truly personalise a garment, often adding to embroidered uniforms or screen printed designs.

Best sellers include names and numbers transferred on to football shirts, individual names transferred on to t-shirts for hen & stag weekends and numbers transferred on to hi-viz security jackets.
